The Administration has undergone several changes over the summer, including the hiring of new personnel and the promotion of others.
Keith Brook was named Chief Academic Officer for grades 7-12 on July 1, 2025. This position was previously titled “Director of Curriculum and Instruction,” held by Sherry McAteer. Brook was previously the High School’s Principal for 17 years, up until the 2025-2026 school year. Brook has many responsibilities in his new position as Chief Academic Officer. These responsibilities include overseeing curriculum and instruction for the district, working with teachers to ensure that all classroom curricula and materials are up to date, training staff, and monitoring students’ progress on state tests and benchmark assessments. Brook fulfills these responsibilities with the help of the District Content Supervisors and Assistant Principals. Brook said, “I plan to work with students and staff to provide the best experience possible for everyone at Clearview, grades 7-12. We will continue to look at the courses we offer in an effort to best prepare students for life after Clearview.”
Another change within the administration is the new Business Administrator. Robert Miles now holds this position, following the retirement of Esther Pennel. This change happened on July 1, 2025. Before being named Business Administrator at Clearview, Miles was a Business Administrator at Swedesboro-Woolwich School and Pitman Public Schools. Miles is also not new to the district, as he substitute taught here in 2003-2004. The responsibilities of this position include: developing and managing the district’s budget; overseeing capital projects; overseeing state and federal grants; overseeing payroll and benefits for employees; overseeing the payment of all bills and receipt of all revenues; overseeing buildings/grounds; food services; transportation; and managing all the district’s contracts and leases. Miles has many plans for the school, and said, “Communication is a priority for me, so I intend to use my position to communicate effectively with the staff, the admin team, and the Board. The district has also lost funding over the years, and I’m cautiously optimistic that this will be corrected. On that point, I plan to use my position to strongly advocate for the district and to develop and manage the budget in such a way so as to maximize student learning while at the same time not compromising the future. Lastly, I don’t believe in settling for the status quo and I have always tried to be allergic to mediocrity. Therefore, I want to press the district forward and ensure that we continue to pursue excellence in everything.”
After Brook’s promotion, Thomas Jones was promoted to the High School’s Principal, Brook’s previous position, on July 1, 2025. Brook was the previous Principal at the High School, but was promoted, resulting in Jones taking over as Principal. Before his promotion, Jones was Assistant Principal at the High School from September 2009 up until June 2025. Jones’ new responsibilities include: ensuring school safety; managing the curriculum that is being taught by the staff, creating the master schedule for the building, handling the hiring process, creating the operational budget for the building, ensuring that all areas of the building are safe and ready for students to use, and communicating with the community on school programs. “The plans are to continue the longstanding tradition of excellence for Clearview Regional High School, both inside and outside of the classroom. I will continue to learn and make sure we are making decisions based on what is in the best interests of students and staff, and making sure our graduates are prepared for whatever their next steps will be when leaving Clearview. I look forward to building positive relationships with the students, staff, and community by listening to their ideas of ways we can be even better,” Jones said.
As a result of Jones’ promotion to High School Principal, Salvatore Ranger was named Assistant Principal for grades 10 and 11, letters M-Z. Before moving to the High School, Ranger was the Assistant Principal at the Middle School from October 16, 2024, to June 2025. Ranger’s responsibilities include: supervising hallways, buses, and common areas for safety and order; responding to urgent discipline or behavioral issues; meeting with students, parents, and teachers regarding academic or behavioral concerns; monitoring attendance and implementing plans to improve student engagement; and assisting the building principal with building concerns.“My goal is to continue to create a fun and safe learning environment for all of our students. In addition, I want to get to know as many of the students as I possibly can and have meaningful interactions,” Ranger said.
Michael Holm is still Assistant Principal, but is now the Assistant Principal for grades 7-12. Holm has a few different responsibilities, including: providing security for grades 7-12, supervising grades 7-12 electives, handling 12th-grade discipline and graduation, and being a facility liaison for both the Middle School and the High School. Holm’s role has not changed much, but he said that he plans to assist the Middle School when it is needed.
Throughout the many changes made to the school’s administration, there is one common goal: all personnel, new and old, have and will continue to provide students with a safe and enjoyable school year.
